YOU COULD GET IN AND FLY IT !!! GIANT 2/3rd SCALE RC FRENCH WWI HANRIOT HD.1 FIGHTER BIPLANE
The Hanriot HD.1 was a French World War I single-seat fighter aircraft. Rejected for service with French squadrons in favour of the SPAD S.7. The type was supplied to the Belgian and the Italian air forces, with whom it proved highly successful. Of a total of about 1,200 examples built, 831 were produced by Italian companies under licence.
This beautiful radio controlled replica of the Hanriot HD.1 was built and flown at LMA Cosford Show by Ian Turney. You would be forgiven for thinking you could just get in and fly this model but the reality is that despite it's size it would not be able to carry much extra weight and certainly is not certified for carrying human passengers anyway.
Filmed at LMA Cosford Show using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder by 'Dom Mitchell' for the Essential RC YouTube channel.
