WPL C14 Toyota Hilux 4WD RC Truck: First Run after Upgraded Electronics & Lights!

I was very curious to find out if the new electronics would work - so here's the WPL C-14 K 1/16 4x4 RC Truck on it's first test run in our private little forest. For those interested, videos with the full installation of the budget hobby-grade electronics and lights are coming up. Stay tuned!

With 'upgraded electronics and lights' and 'hobby-grade' I am referring to the difference between this set-up and the WPL C-14 Ready-to-Run Electronics. This one is now fully proportional with separate ESC and receiver, new head lights and extra tail lights and running on a 2S LiPo battery. The set-up can be installed in both the WPL C-14 RTR and the WPL C-14 Kit/DIY version.

The video footage is slowed down 1/2. Shows that the suspension definitely could need a bit of softening up. But otherwise everything seems to work even with this basic build with no additional mods and I am very impressed and surprised of how smooth and capable this little budget truck is. It would be nice to keep the WPL C-14K stock for now - for an upcoming comparison of the two.
