I had been flying methanal RC planes since 1990, around 1993 I started to learn to fly a Kyosho Concept 30 helicopters. By 1997 I was flying 60 size machines and built this Robbe Futura in c1999. It was very high spec back then and all pilot controlled except for a tail rotor gyro. I had the payload undercarriage made bespoke to fit and carry the VCR camera shown. It looks very primitive now and having come across it in an old folder on an old lap top dongle I wondered if it was possibly the earliest VCR footage filmed from an RC helicopter in the UK. I’ll add the specs and answer any questions if the video gets any interest or comments.
