Enjoy this "blast" from my past. For many years my hobby was building and flying turbine powered RC jets. Very few RC flyers (probably less than 500 pilots) participate in this level of RC flying.

These aircraft need long smooth runways to fly safely, so some pilots organize fly-ins at airports that can be closed to the public for a long weekend. We traveled thousands of miles to attend some of these events, with many international flyers participating as well.

Sorry about the low resolution of this video, but it was filmed almost 15 years ago and that was what we had.
