This Traxxas Bandit XL-5 standard buggy was upgraded to the Velineon VXL system that came from my Slash Platinum kit.
Originally I had tried to squeeze out as much as I can with a 7.4v Lipo and RC GearShop 80Amp/5900kv motor with lowered pinion gear but could not get the acceleration and top speed. I decided to switch up to 11.1v and used the Velineon system which provided the best feel for both acceleration and speed.
The stock tires went bald after a few runs but these Anaconda tires seems to be holding up. The Anaconda spin and slide quite a bit on the street.
I did several test runs without the rear wing and the car consistently gained a few mph. The rear wing was then trimmed to reduce the downforce and top speed drag.
The Turnigy Graphene 3s 3000mAh 65c battery was just a tad longer than the battery tray so I had one end of the battery stood up. The battery strap post were extended to accommodate the hight.
The car weight in at 4LB and 2oz.
