I managed to secure a great deal for this on a RC forum for only £85 and it even came with some spares and extra parts in the box from the previous owner.

I have been searching forums and auction sites to try and find one of these at a very good price as way back in 2009 the hobao hyper 7 nitro was my go to nitro RC!

I had a lot of love for the hyper 7 which is why I have missed it all these years and since I am firmly into brushless these days a hyper VSE seemed like the best way to go!

These buggies are well known for being ultra durable and at the price i paid it was too good of an offer to turn down!

Will be interested to see if this can handle 6s some say yes and some say no so we will test 6s on this buggy in the coming weeks but one thing is for certain it is a great basher even in its current form!

Was happy with the achieved speeds and considering we used the 17t pinion and have to remember this old motor is 2000kv instead of Hobbywings common 2200kv it wasn't a bad result.
