Team Albatross is the Official Regular Class Aero Design Team of VIT, Vellore and we present to you a Futuristic approach towards RC flying which was designed with the vision Scaling The Infinite: ALB – 21.
ALB – 21 was designed to in a way that it will remodel the traditional approach of RC Aircraft Design but still incorporate certain ideas and applications. ALB – 21 carries a high-resolution Infrared camera with a cloud-connected smartphone, with these we would be able to obtain a thermal imaging report which can be used in many other sectors for various applications.
Some of the most important applications used are given below:

• WILDLIFE:
IR monitoring can also monitor and prevent poaching activities in restricted zones.

• AGRICULTURE:
Coloured thermal scanning (CIS) can map the variation of water potential in the field. This modernizes the agricultural industry and allows efficient distribution of the irrigational system around the plantations.

• SEWAGE DISCHARGE
Aerial IR can also be used to monitor heated water or sewage discharges from the industrial powerplants into the water bodies.

• SOLAR PANELS
The thermal camera mounted in our aircraft can survey through a solar farm, scanning for temperature hotspots produced on solar panel. Engineers can then analyse this data and come up with required solutions.
You can assemble the aircraft ALB-21 on site, and with replaceable landing gear mechanism and electrical components according to the terrain and duration of the light it will be the perfect RC Aircraft for Thermal scanning, monitoring and #ScalingTheInfinite.
