Full build series video on the Tekno DB48 will be out soon! Stay tuned and subscribe!
Race Report: SoCal U4RC 2017 Winter Series Race #1 was a blast running my new Tekno RC DB48 Rock Racing Buggy. I ended up winning both heats with a TQ for the A Main of the 2.2" Unlimited Class. The first heat was literally the first time I pulled the trigger, as this rig was finished only a few hours earlier. The SCT410.3 based buggy (with ET48.3 chassis and driveline) soaked up all the rocks and was dominating the course at Cherry Valley, CA My Team Tekin Racing electronics were finely tuned with the new HotWire 3 Bluetooth programmer via my iPhone. I had traction for days with my Pro-Line Racing Hyrax tires mounted to Vanquish Products KMC Wheels. ProTek RC controlled all my steering with the 170SBL servo and my Futaba 4PX radio system kept the DB48 connected to the track. Freqeskinz had me looking great on the track with Neal's custom graphics!
The main proved you can drive a U4RC rig without turn marshalls! I had only a slight bobble in the first rock garden on turn 1 (landed on my tires!)and after that it was smooth sailing staying consistent with 50 second lap times and pulling out a HUGE win leaving second place behind me by 23 seconds. Big thanks to Brian Jones, John Askar and Shawn Rusin for putting on a great event and to Chris Monroe Pickering for having the best track in the country! Big congrats also to Anthony Vasquez for his 3 podium finishes - being new to U4RC only a few races ago!
