IPL 2023 Points Table Updated: Latest standings after LSG vs RCB match

IPL Points Table: RCB beat LSG by 18 runs in a low-scoring thriller to move to fifth in the league table, while LSG missed a chance to go top. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore executed a thrilling low-score defence against Lucknow Super Giants to move to fifth in the Indian Premier League points table.

Updated IPL 2023 Points Table, Orange Cap, And Purple Cap After LSG vs RCB

The 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 was dominated by the bowlers from the two teams as Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to defend 126 runs on the board defeating Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs as the points table gets stiffer with each passing game.

The points table grows fierce with every passing game as the traffic at the table continues to grow stiff. Apart from Gujarat Titans who are at the top of the table with 12 points to their name. There are 5 other teams with 10 points to their name.

Lucknow Super Giants following their loss have slipped from the 2nd spot on the table with Rajasthan Royals moving up the ranks from number 3 replacing positions with the team above them. With their win over LSG, Bangalore have moved up the rankings and are now placed 5th on the points table pushing Punjab down to 6th place

A lot of movement within the top 5 positions on the Orange Cap standings as Faf Du Plessis is back on the top with 466 runs to his name pushing Yashasvi Jaiswal to the 2nd spot. Devon Conway remains at number 3 while Virat Kohli with 364 runs to his name has now climbed up to the 4th spot pushing Ruturaj Gaikwad down to number 5.


Some notable changes to the Purple Cap standings as Tushar Deshpande continues to be on the top of the table with 17 wickets to his name, Mohammed Siraj following his wicket against LSG has moved up to the second spot pushing Arshdeep Singh to the 3rd spot. No changes to the last two spots as Rashid Khan continues to be at 4th while Ravi Ashwin stands 5th on the table.
