Let's end this with a complete FAiL with the 8T Carson Tamiya Euro-Cup Brushless System and the Tamiya DT-02 Sand Viper! This Tamiya DT-01-02-03 Buggy series was going too well I think, with six previous problem free speed tests, so maybe it was just about time something else happened.
Well, to be honest I had my doubts whether to upload this or not. Without any explanation in the video it's difficult to figure out why this is a fail. For the best explanation you must visit my other channel and a second speed test where I finally managed to get this buggy up to full speed: https://youtu.be/lUoPIlEejZQ
The 47 kph (approx. 27 mph) in this video is NOT full speed. The short explanation is that the motor/ESC kept activating some kind of cut-off or protection system. In the video you can actually see the full acceleration for a few seconds and then the cut-off. I tested four batteries this day (two 6S NiMH and two 2S LiPo) and I only managed a few passes with full speed and full RPM (see the video link above). I've had this one out running off road this season without any trouble at all. But not on this day. The plan is of course to get it fixed somehow, and then also try it out with a 3S LiPo.
I still have no idea why the motor/ESC is cutting out (it's not the gear ratio, not heat, not the batteries). Any help is much appreciated.
