Even though I never expected any changes in top speed with the new upgrades I was too tempted to do another on road speed test. But it's a good way to test if everything is running smoothly and a good way to make absolutely sure that the little increased weight of the metal hasn't effected the top speed.

I was a little surprised with the first measurement, but upon inspection it turned out that there was way too much extra stuff under the slim Dual Ridge buggy body (perhaps touching the center shaft): a big battery, an EC5-to-Tamiya connector, LiPo Alarm and the GPS. And yes, once removed the buggy was up in speed again.
