Donut Days are Over! Testing the Louise Rocket 1/10 Buggy Street Tires and the Carson All Terrain Tamiya DT-01, DT-02 and DT-03 Tires ... with the help of the Tamiya Neo Fighter Buggy!
For those interested in prices and where I got them from:
I got the Louise E-Rocket 1/10 Buggy Rear Tires + foam inserts 2pcs (#L-T3188SI) for approx. 12 Euro (14$) on eBay (in 2018). Width: 42mm. Outside diameter: 86mm. These are also available pre-mounted on wheels with 12 mm Hex (#LR-T3188SWKR) and another set of smaller front tires are also available, for your 4WD buggies. The Rocket tires are also available in different versions for your 1/8 buggy, 1/5 buggy, 1/10 Monster Truck, 1/10 Stadium truck etc.
The Carson All Terrain Rear Tires 2 pcs (Carson #500011090) for the DT-series was originally approx. 6 Euro (7$) at Tamico (in 2018). Inserts are not included so you will need these also. The complete tire set with 4 pcs including black 5-spoke wheels (Carson #500900027) was approx. 13 Euro (15$). These are also available in chrome-plated editions.
These tires was recommended to me by RC Volution.
A short run from this day, without music and editing, is coming up on the next Tamiya Tuesday.
The DT-03 in this video is stock except ball bearings and a 19T steel pinion. You can check out a previous Tamiya Tuesday GPS speed test here: https://youtu.be/eHFPh2KR6Wc
The original test runs with the stand alone Carson All Terrain tires are vailable here: https://youtu.be/JMwx2EJ-Hx0
