Subaru Legacy RS Group A Rally Legend Tribute - 2.O-Litre Boxer Turbo Engine Sound & Exhaust Flames

The Subaru Legacy RS Group A is definitely a legendary rally car. In this video, I wanted to collect some footage filmed in past editions of the San Marino Rally Legend. Before the advent of the multiple victorious Impreza, the Japanese brand began racing with this model in 1990 driven by Markku Alén, but it was later thanks to Colin McRae that he won the New Zealand WRC in 1993. Under the bonnet, we find a 2.0-Liter four-cylinder Boxer engine, code EJ20G, equipped with an IHI RHB52 VF15 turbo regulated at a pressure of 1.6 bar. This allows developing power of 300hp at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 461Nm at 5,000 rpm. Other technical features include the presence of four-wheel drive, a manual 5 or 6-speed X-Trac gearbox, MacPherson front and rear suspension and a total weight of about 1,150 kg.

La Subaru Legacy RS Group A è sicuramente un'auto da rally leggendaria ed in questo video ho voluto raccogliere alcuni esemplari filmati nelle passate edizioni del Rally Legend che ogni anno si svolge a San Marino. Prima dell'avvento della mitica Impreza, la casa Giapponese iniziò a correre con questo modello nel 1990 pilotato da Markku Alén ma fu successivamente grazie al compianto Colin McRae che vinse il WRC di Nuova Zelanda nel 1993. Sotto al cofano troviamo un 2.0-Litri quattro cilindri Boxer, quindi con disposizione a 180°, codice propulsore EJ20G, dotato di un turbo IHI RHB52 VF15 regolato ad una pressione di 1.6 bar. Qeusto permette di sviluppare una potenza di 300cv a 6.500 giri/min ed una coppia massima di 461Nm a 5.000 giri/min. Altre caratteristiche tecniche vedono la presenza della trazione integrale, un cambio X-Trac manuale a 5 o 6 rapporti, sospensioni macpherson all'anteriore ed al posteriore ed un peso complessivo di circa 1.150Kg.
