I've built a RC electric glider using a 3D printed fuselage, some old wings I had laying around, a piece of carbon tube from an old fishrod, some balsa for rudder and elevator and 2 servos.
I've designed the fuselage on Tinkercad. It is very sturdy and light.
It has enough space for 2 mini servos (rudder and elevator), a 1100mHa 3S lipo, Frsky receiver, ESC and motor (1000kv).
Wingspan: 55 inches (140cm)
Weight ready to fly: 1.3 pounds (600 grams)
Fuselage printed on a Creality Ender 3 using PLA.
It is a gentle flyer with great handling and with this setup I could fly for hours.
Just a burst of power and it goes almost vertical and then just cut the power and enjoy the air.
Sometimes you just have to look at your pile of debris from old rc planes and get things together to make a new flying machine ! :D
