Russia has begun to gain ground in the norhtern and southern parts of the bakhmut front, where it appears that they are attempting to take Soledar as well as villages to the south to potentially encircle Bakhmut and force the Ukrainian forces to retreat. Currently it seems as though more Russian forces form Kherson are now bolstering the push, and whil poorly trained and lightly equipped the horde that Ukraine is fighting against has pushed them back on both flanks.
