RC Car Videos 115 20241117 Part1 First Time Frying ESC! Rustler and WR-01Tests

The recently bought 8 Euro ESC proved its performance!
I did not like this ESC for some strange behaviors but finally it became kristal clear.

It has no problem with 2S Lipo without fan, but with 3S Lipo, and cooling fan it fried itself with smokes! (19T motor used then) Before the meltdown the car did slowed down but I thought it was just a heat protection. But the reality was simply it was getting closer to its demise.

Luckily the battery and Rustler were fine. Only the loss of 8 Euros.
The motor got also really hot. May I should not use it anymore...
The smell did not go away for a while, so it was a really bad one.

Then I put a brushless combo on Rustler with 3S Lipo. It was really fast, actually too fast. It looked like the gear ratio was a lot wider than I thought. Definitely 2S is enough. 3S might be OK but the pinion should be smaller. Also it was undiniable that the rear tires grip was way too low. The car was too unstable. Not even on the straight i could not bring it to its top speed.

Then I tried WR-01 which I did not test after the purchase. It was waaaay better than I thought. I used to have the same chassis before (Dual Hunter), but this one runs really better, with strong ESC, servo, and the last but not the least, good dampers.
