This incredible piece of working art and craftsmanship, is from the renowned custom modeler Don Cannon. Don has been building custom Boats and Trains for 32 years. The current masterpiece for your viewing pleasure, is the 4 foot aluminum Air Boat known as the "Mosquito Eater" which was highlighted in Boat Modeler Magazine. The boat has also been featured in numerous hobby shows. Don uses only the best materials available, and pays close attention to each and every detail which has earned him the title of perfectionist by his friends and peers. The boat was scratch built (one of a kind) from 0.32 aluminum, and was painstakingly assembled with approximately 400 rivets. It measures 47" long X 23" wide X 22" tall and weighs 22 lbs. It is powered by a Zenoah G- 23 PUH helicopter engine with a custom welded 2 piece aluminum exhaust pipe and a 15 X 8 trimmed pusher prop. The hull is filled and sealed with foam which ensures zero chance for sinking. The boat has 2 to 3 hours of run time on the Zenoah engine and was previously powered by a less powerful Homelite. The Zenoah has a pull start and is very easy start. The boat is controlled by Rutter servos with brass gears, and a Python transmitter. All radio equipment is sealed under the driver's seat, but is very easy to get to. The boat includes a mount for a video camera for underway action movies.
