Newark Radio Controlled Car Club - A final 26/07/2024

With the off-roading complete for this year it was back to doing a bit of on road racing at my local club.

I'd struggled with my Xray x4 '24 car almost since I got it but had continued to use it and try and get it to work for me. Finally I gave up and bought another x4 '23 car. It was the first night with the 'new' 23 car and everything I remembered came back to me. Like old friends!

Car worked amazing from the moment it hit the track. Using FTD qualifying I went 3rd fastest in round 1. Moved up to 2nd after round 3 and got dropped down a place after round 3.

The final was a little bit of a struggle. It seemed if I pushed hard the rear tyres would overheat and the stability would be lost until I ran it around calmly and then the tyres came back to life. Something I need to look at. still I wasn't far off the pace either way. Just some silly little bits of contact with the track. Otherwise I was really happy.
