Carbon chassis and a 5k diff. What madness is this!?
So I left the car as it was coming from Louth and as the grip levels are a bit lower there I ran the carbon chassis. I also didn't change the diff oil so that remained at 5k.
I probably will change it for perhaps 7k moving forward, but the carbon chassis can stay for now.
I did however swap out he 4x1.2mm pistons for the more common 4x1.1mm ones having finally got some for this car. I also filled them with 350cst oil down from 375cst I was running before.
I didn't change much for Q1 and Q2, but tried a 0.5mm Ackerman shim for Q3. I instantly gained more front end, but despite turning down the steering angle lock couldn't get this to work quickly ready for the final. I had however managed to qualify with a 2 and a 7. Pretty good for my recent form!
Moving into the final I raised the inner rear links by 0.5mm which in my head would give me less camber gain. It seemed to work well and I may add another 0.5mm shim going forward.
