The RF4B Phantom.
Our RF4B (R stands for reconnaissance) were electronically sophisticated for the time, with nothing but their cameras for a weapon.
RF4Bs were sleek and carried FLR and SLR andDLR in the nose among other ways of seeing the enemy in the Nam with infrared heat photography.
It was an exciting time for me in the Marine corps and I would love to get in the back seat again and go for a ride.
This Phantom from Exceed RC, which I got from Nitoplanes is a very nicely made kit. It is best to fly this on grass fields, because it is easily scratched up on hard surfaces.
I like it a lot and I will be flying it more, so stay tuned.
Thanks for watching and thanks to any RF4B Military folks for serving
Dave
