I've always wanted to build a massive RC plane, but didn't want to waste foam. I decided to try cardboard on a small plane, and to my surprise it worked great! While not quite as strong, it has fewer fumes while laser cutting, is cheaper, and is more sustainable, and for quick prototypes it makes a great choice of material. This plane was built over the course of a week, with support from Stanford Flight Club. We took it to Flight Club's airfield at Lake Lagunita on Stanford's campus to fly, where it had a successful first flight before crashing from pilot error.
