Liam Lawson Testing Day with 2022 AlphaTauri AT03 (2024 Visa Cash App Livery) - Imola, July 31, 2024

On Wednesday, 31 July 2024, the first two days of testing planned by the Visa Cash App Racing Bull team were underway at the Imola circuit. New Zealand driver Liam Lawson completed dozens of laps in a test session with the 2022 AlphaTauri AT03 single-seater. (the livery is updated to the current car that races in the 2024 Formula 1 championship). This 22-year-old driver is the team's third after the official drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo. Due to Daniel Ricciardo's injury during the free practice session for the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, Lawson took his place, making his Formula 1 debut at the wheel of the AlphaTauri AT04, obtaining thirteenth place in the races. The AT03 car used in this test is equipped with ground effect and 18-inch tyres, just like the cars used in the latest F1 championships. It adopts the Honda RBPTH001 1.6-liter V6 turbo hybrid engine mated to an electronically controlled sequential semi-automatic gearbox produced by Red Bull consisting of 8 gears + reverse. Nella giornata di Mercoledì 31 Luglio 2024, sul circuito di Imola, ha preso il via la prima di due giornate di test pianificate dal team Visa Cash App Racing Bull. Con la monoposto AlphaTauri AT03 del 2022, ma aggiornata nella livrea all'attuale vettura che corre nel campionato Formula 1 2024, il pilota Neozelndase Liam Lawson ha compiuto decine di giri in una vera e propria sessione di test. Questo giovane pilota di 22 anni è la terza guida del team dopo i piloti ufficiali Yuki Tsunoda e Daniel Ricciardo. Ricordiamo che a causa dell'infortunio di Daniel Ricciardo durante la sessione di prove libere Gran Premio d'Olanda 2023, Lawson ha preso il suo posto, esordendo in Formula 1 alla guida della AlphaTauri AT04 ottenendo in gare il tredicesimo posto. La vettura AT03 impiegata in questo test è dotata di effetto suolo e pneumatici da 18 pollici proprio come le auto impiegate negli ultimi campionati di F1. Adotta il motore Honda RBPTH001 da 1.6-Litri V6 turbo ibrido accoppiato ad un cambio semiautomatico sequenziale a controllo elettronico prodotto da Red Bull formato da 8 marce + retromarcia.
