RC is fun, we all know that. But driving a classic buggy like this one brings back good memories. This aged buggy still handles and performs fantastic. Offcourse i won't drive it to the max and the engine has a slightly richer needle setting for obvious reasons.
Everything on this buggy is original, just like it left the factory 30 years ago, except for the airfilter, fuel lines and exhaust (that one is also 30 years of age but an aftermarket one i used when i raced a similar Kyosho buggy). Even the engine, also a 30 year old O.S. 21 VF, is completely original.
Electronics are:
Futaba FP-122 JE 27 mHz receiver
Futaba S3003 steering servo
Futaba S3003 throttle/brake servo
The Rowdy Baja Circuit 20 model included a ball differential.
Parts like oil filled shocks and magnesium 2-piece wheels were optional.
Other characteristic features were;
Front alluminium double trailing arm suspension,
Rear alluminium trailing arm suspension,
Front twin beam alluminium chassis and rear stainless steel twin vertical plate chassis,
Welded alluminium roll cage,
Cast alluminium and oil filled gear box,
Rear engine, double steel clutch shoes with friction material inside the clutchbell,
Drum brake on the clutchbell,
Tires with a "GOOD YEAR" logo on one side and "DUNLOP" on the other side,
Slide spring suspension with ride height adjustment on the rear, hair pin type springs on the front, also with ride height adjustment.
Total weight is 3550 grams.
Enjoy the sound and driving characteristics of this classic RC gem.
