The 18650 cells, which I recommended during the brushless conversion videos are a bit too short for this car, because they are flat top types! So in this video we will add some 3D printed adapters.
They will convert the flat top cells into button top cells, which are required in this car.

What I like on this car:
- Oil filled shocks (really!)
- Very good steering with no dead zone around the center position and very little backlash
- Good gearbox sealing
- Metal differentials
- Very grippy tires, not topheavy
- The steering trim pot
- The transmitter requires only two AA batteries
- Spare parts available
- Upgraded metal driveshafts available on Aliexpress

What not:
- Plastic driveshafts (with steel pins, however)
- Plastic spur gear and bevel gears
- Battery concept with two independent 18650 Li-Ion cells
- It’s not the fastest car in the world
