During the 1990's, 4 wheel-drive became the norm for 1/8 scale RC buggies. HoBao made their Pirate M1, which was rebranded by Graupner (Graupner Impuls series), Kyosho (Prestige), T2M (Pirate) and Ofna (Pirate). Graupner used their own bodyshell, servos and an engine from their inventory (O.S. RG (P)-X .21).
HoBao also made a more competitive version of the 4 wheel-drive buggy and a lightweight and very well ballanced 2 wheel-drive version, which had a different lay-out, weight distribution and front suspension.
Kyosho continued develloping this chassis, which became the "Kyosho Burns".
This buggy was donated to me, and since i have the 2 WD version, i felt pleased to resurrect an iconic buggy and adding it to my collection and growing Graupner family (Graupner was the distributor of Kyosho, HoBao, Traxxas, Losi, Charisma, O.S. engines, Futaba and so on).

The Impuls 2000 4WD is surprisingly light, only 3,440 kg, only 50 grams heavier than my HoBao Hyper9 (minimum weight for competition is 3,5 kg), while my 2WD version comes at a weight of 3,140 kg.
