A couple weeks back was the Warbirds & Classics event hosted at the OCMA flying field (http://www.flyocma.com/) by the Scale Squadron of SoCal (http://www.scalesquadron.com/). First up from the event is this massive B-17G Flying Fortress from Jamie Fifles. The airplane is 1/9 scale which gives it a 140" wingspan and was scratch-built from Don Smith plans from balsa and ply wood. It's powered by 4x E-flite 160 motors on 10 cells swinging 16x10 master airscrew props and also uses Robart Retracts and JetTronic brakes. The model was painted in the 909 livery, which holds the WW2 record of 140 missions with no casualties and 126 missions with no aborts. The replica is now flown by the Collins Foundation in FL.

Apologies for some of the background noise on this one as the airplane was virtually silent in the air and, being an event, there was a mix of airplanes in the air. I did what I could with the audio to try and tone some of that down.
