Ford Capri 3100 RS Touring Car, Action + Onboard - 440Hp V6 N/A Engine Sound - Monza Historic 2020

The Ford Capri 3100 RS Touring Car is mythical and extraordinary. I'm pleased to have been able to film this model owned by Legendary Racing Team and piloted by Emile Breittmayer. We are at the 2020 Monza Historic by Peter Auto, and the specimen you see competes in the Heritage Touring Cup category. I have to thank the driver for allowing us to insert an action-cam into the cockpit and delight us with the fantastic sound generated by the engine during the qualifying session. Born in 1975, this model is the latest and most powerful evolutionary stage of Group 2 touring cars. Under the front bonnet, we find a Ford-Cosworth GAA 3.5-Liter V6 naturally aspirated engine with aluminium head and 4 valves per cylinder capable of developing 440hp (328 kW) 8,750 rpm. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual ZF, rear-wheel drive and low overall car weight, under 1,100Kg. Together the BMW 3.0 CSL represented the more powerful and faster-touring cars of those years. La Ford Capri 3100 RS Touring Car è un'auto mitica e straordinaria. Sono molto felice di aver potuto filmare questo esemplare curato dal Legendary Racing Team e pilotato da Emile Breittmayer. Ci troviamo all'edizione 2020 del Monza Historic by Peter Auto e l'esemplare che vedete gareggia nella categoria Heritage Touring Cup. Devo ringraziare il pilota per averci permesso di inserire una action-cam nell'abitacolo e di deliziarci con il fantastico suono generato dal motore durante la sessione di qualifica. La vettura, classe 1975, è l'ultimo e più potente stadio evolutivo delle vetture turismo Gruppo 2. Sotto il cofano anteriore troviamo un motore Ford-Cosworth GAA da 3.5-Litri V6 aspirato con testa in alluminio e 4 valvole per cilindro capace di sviluppare 440cv (328 kW) a 8.750 giri/min. Il cambio è un ZF manuale a 5 rapporti, trazione posteriore ed un peso molto contenuto, sotto i 1.100Kg. Assieme alla BMW 3.0 CSL ha rappresentato l'alternativa più potente e veloce delle vetture turismo di quegli anni.
