We want to congratulate our very own Director of Brand Marketing and Horizon Hobby Air Team pilot, Steven Petrotto on taking home 1ST PLACE in Pro Am Division 1 at the 2024 Academy of Model Aeronautics US Scale Nationals with his custom covered Hangar 9 CubCrafters FX-3 Cub and 3rd in Division 2 with his Hangar 9 Aermacchi MB-339!

Steve shared:
“Having the right equipment is huge at any national contest and I’m proud to have flown my Hangar 9 CubCrafters FX-3 Red Bull Cub to victory. It’s equipped with the Spektrum Synapse and all A6300 Servos, guided by the IX20 SE, powered by a DLE 170cc on MTW canister mufflers, and was built by Full Throttle RC.

But more importantly than equipment, I wanted to thank Dan Landis for helping me all weekend with incredible calling. It’s awesome to have a national competition winner helping you through each flight. Thanks man, it was amazing and a huge reason why I took home the win. Congrats on winning your class!

I did manage to snag 3rd place flying the MB339 in division 2 as well.

Overall a huge weekend for me! Thanks to Jessy Symmes for being there to support me doing what I love!
