This 'pusher' style RC jet has elevators for pitch control and ailerons for roll. The 3 position switch supports Beginner and Midd modes that limit the ability to roll or loop to inverted and therefore reduce the probability of crashing the F-22 for novice pilots. Use the Expert position to allow full roll and loop capability. The aerobatic/trick button can be used in combination with the right stick to perform a loop or roll in beginner or midd modes.
This is the 2nd video about the F-22. On the first video I found that the Midd mode was very sensitive because the throw of the control surfaces and the absence of exponential. I had a small crash and broke the nose off! Easily glued back on with some foam safe glue such as UHU POR. Even if you are experienced I recommend you start flying this F-22 in Beginner mode and only switch to Midd mode when you are familiar with how it flies and also when it is close to you. There is a dramatic difference in the setup between Beginner and Midd/Expert modes and it is easier to adjust your flight style when the F-22 is closer to you.
Filmed by James for the 'Essential RC' YouTube channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder. Dom flies the F-22 Raptor.
