These Drift cars are amazing in the detail of the body and driving dynamics.
Seriously they are little works of art, they should be, they are made by Minichamps who makes beautiful shelf models of all the major car brands.
BUT
When i drive these amazing simulations in First Person View I am totally sold.
They drive so well and so real the feeling is immense.
I have tried to drive so many other RC cars in FPV and failed.
They just dont drive in a real way. These DO !
I found the roadway as a great deal from Lidl Germany (not found in the UK) and imported them via a good buddy on the Dr!ft forum.
It really does give the right size and road feeling.
FPV Is awesome but has to done in the right way.
The right way includes the vertical elements, even if they are only coloured cardboard houses.
I love to add trackside details and in FPV they really do add so much to the whole experience. The tunnel is probably my favorite addition and is quite simply a card box painted gray and some old led strip lights carefully having half the leds blanked out for effect.
You can find the base cars here, but you do need to add your own FPV system. I use a all in one video camera and transmitter system (also found at the link below) and a second 1s tiny lipo for power blue tacked on the roof
Of course you would need a set of FPV goggles or a receiver for your TV to view the drivers perspective.
