Have you ever wondered if there is a DJI Mini 2 speed limit? Or if speeds can be restricted? Well, we found something in the DJI Manual that surprised us and we learned there is in fact a speed limit on the Mini 2 in both the Cine and Normal Modes under certain conditions. Speed limit and speed restrictions are brought into play when the gimbal is in a certain position. Surprised? Us, too! But what’s even more surprising is that we discovered this by reading the DJI Manual!
The DJI Manual reads that when in Cine and Normal Modes, the Mini 2 top speed is restricted when the gimbal is facing down between 80 and 90 degrees. We tried this out and to our amazement, the speed was reduced quite significantly.
Why would they limit the speed of the Mini 2 in these instances but not affect Sport Mode? Well, your guess is honestly as good as ours, but we believe it may have something to do with the purpose behind each mode. It is our belief that the speed limit is in place at these times in order to prevent gimbal shake which will assist in capturing more cinematic footage from this perspective as Cine and Normal modes are often used to capture cinematic footage. Sport Mode on the other hand is typically a “get there quick” mode used to cover ground fast. At least, this is our theory.
If you have an explanation that differs from ours on why there is a DJI Mini 2 speed limit and speed restrictions, please let us know in the comments. I do have a question. Does anyone really read the descriptions we type out here? If you’re reading this, please make a comment and somewhere in that comment put the words “recycled sea oats” just to let us know you took the time to read this. It’s kind of an experiment so don’t worry about mentioning that you read the description… The words “recycled sea oats” will be plenty for us to know. We got this idea from a channel called “Claim the Vision” and nobody apparently read the description because he let the cat out of the bag in his next video.
We want to thank you guys as always for watching and commenting and also for your continued support. It means the world to us. God bless and have a great week!!!
