Welcome to day 10 of this crazy 3 week long trip that takes us 8,000 km across the Australian Red Centre.

We made it to camp 15 which means we MADE IT across the 1,100 dune Simpson Desert! This is the largest parallel sand dune desert in the world! IN A 1961 VEEDUB!! :D

Day started well, super excited we made it across.. But in the background our worries were growing as the buggy started leaking oil more and more every hour.

And then things started to go downhill:( This was the first time we thought we might not make it.. and we were only half way through the trip!

Great Central road, 1,100 sand dunes of the great Simpson Desert and 1,300km of pure hell and corrugations of the Anne Beadell Hwy (one of Australia's most remote tracks).

Our convoy consists of:

- 1961 VW beach buggy with Original 1964 Meyers Manx body (RWD 4 speed manual with a wooden steering wheel)
- 2021 Nissan Patrol Y62 Ti-l with a few mods;)
- 2022 TrackStar Quickie III trailer (also with a few mods;)

We swap every day driving the buggy and the Y62 and mostly live off the trailer..

Wish us luck!
