This is an airplane I still own. This is my 67" Pilot Extra 330SC. It has 4 Spektrum A6300 HV servos, a Talon 90 am speed control, Eflite Power 60 470kv motor, 18x6 Xoar wood propeller, Spektrum 7350?? As3x receiver, 6s 5000 Smart Lipo, and some old school building knowledge and 3d skills. It weighs just under 9 lbs and floats like helium. I am using my awesome Spektrum IX12 transmitter for control. So, to me, you should fly RC airplanes, before you even try a helicopter. Airplanes teach stability and gracefulness, along with wind currents and outside forces. Knowing how to balance an +irplane's center of gravity, knowing the deflection of the surfaces and what they do, all rolls toward flying helicopters later. I was an airplane junkie. I learned to fly by trial and error. There was no buddy box or simulator. I could hang my Ugly Stick on the prop 35 years ago when I was 10. I even cut off a finger half way on the propeller and rode my friend's bike home bleeding. I was one of the god fathers of 3d foamies. I used to cut them out of depron before any kits were even available. I used to practice every day, almost every hour. I used to take a foamie 3d plane with me to work everyday so I could fly on break and at lunch. I even flew at a local hobby shop in the parking lot after work. That is how I became known. The old dudes hated my 3d inventing, and are now wishing they knew how I did it. It's funny when someone can't do what you do, so they won't let you do it. Ah yes, the days of baseball bat heavy ass airplanes, then the dudes like me who just shred the skies with some foam and a battery. I hate it when I see heli guys talking smack about airplane people. Some of these heli guys can't fly an airplane, so they might want to keep quiet. I got into helicopters at the beginning of the electric craze. I started with GWS Mini Dragonfly on a Nickel Metal Hydride battery. Since I could hover an airplane, I had throttle management, but I needed my ol dad to teach me about cyclic and rudder. It was new, I stuck with it, and I just fly anything and everything now days. It's R/C. There is no menu or rules. Build it, crash it, repeat. I put in lots of time. How bad do you want it?? \[icv\
