Chicco RC Toy Car ODD transmitter

Chicco RC Toy Car ODD transmitter. If you missed the first video: The issue is when you press left or right on the supplied transmitter you get forwards too even if you press reverse?? I have a look inside to see if there is an easy fix but I didn't make any progress.
