Sorry for my droning voice, i'm on pain killers.
Just to clarify, on the previous conversions i used bodyshells of Mini Tamiya buggies that are cheap and still being produced, with the exception of the Nikko Super Fox (which is a very rare collector's item too).
Unfortunately the prices of the classic Mini 4WD Tamiyas are completely over the top. But now i'm going to make this Boomerang a functional RC buggy instead of a static object.

Warning!
RC cars are not toys and should be handled with care! RC cars have sharp objects, small choking hazards and the combustion engine aswell as electric motors get very hot during operation. RC cars can reach speeds that can cause serious injuries and/or damage, and should be operated at a safe distance from people, especially children.
Fuel, either premix or methanol/nitromethane fuel, is flammable and toxic and should be handled with care and kept away from children!
Batteries, especially lithium/polymer batteries, can become combustible when handled carelessly!
