Another Charity Shop find and apart from the fact I broke it testing it indoors - as the instructions say - this is pure gold. Yes it is 35MHz so it is old technology but it does work and if I can repair the bit I broke I will be flying it outdoors as soon as possible.

It was sold by Maplin Electronics which is a reliable brand but I am guessing the chances of getting replacement parts is pretty slim as I think this is probably a few years old so I will probably have to do a repair job which is not really a good idea.
I was foolish to try it indoors even though the instructions recommend it is flown indoors. Obviously they really mean in a large sports hall or similar, not in your kitchen or dining room. We will have to see if I can repair it. Worst case is I now have a good working transmitter and receiver, a LiPo battery and charger, and some good motors so I win either way.

Generally my projects are for my grandchildren to enjoy. OK, I enjoy them too. If anybody else likes them, that is a bonus. I like to keep my work as simple and basic as possible so that it can be copied easily and improved by anybody who wants to try themselves. I recycle or repurpose items rather than buy new and when I do buy I like to keep it cheap.
