In this series of videos, I’m building the Tamiya Buggyra Fat Fox to race in the Euro Truck stock class. Euro Trucks, based on the shaft-driven 4wd TT-01 Type-E chassis, are without a doubt the least expencive way to get started in RC racing. For about $150.00 you get the kit which includes the body, wheels, tires, motor, and ESC. All you need to get is a two channel radio, a servo, and a lipo battery. The class is so restrictive that there are only a couple batteries to choose from and they are in the $50.00 range. Because no changes are allowed, the class is as close to a level playing field as it gets. Everyone is racing the same chassis, motor, ESC, and tires. The suspension is all fixed length control arms so no tuning is possible further leveling the field between drivers.
