BLOODHOUND SSP 'TAZER' RC SPORT JET (Supersonic Plane) World's Fastest Car – 1000mph Bloodhound SSC
Inspired by the Bloodhound Supersonic Car (SSC) the RC Supersonic Plane (SSP) schemed Tazer RC Sport Jet was created and flown recently at the Royal Navy Model Aircraft Association RC turbine jet event at RNAS Merryfield.
The Tazer was designed by Alan Brown in Epsom. This example, owned and flown by Martin John Painter, is powered by a Jets Munt VT80 micro turbine jet engine. A Demon Cortex 3-axis gyro provides stabilisation and Futaba radio gear is used throughout for guidance. It has a Grumania Thrust Pipe and an FCT Universal Air Trap (UAT). The retracts are made by Digitech with Lado electric conversion units and Lado Electric brakes.
Paint scheme on this model was by Steve Elias. Martin gifted him one of the Corgi models and asked him to reproduce it on this amazing radio controlled sport jet.
