We have had this RTR version of the MST RMX2.0S for awhile now. It came to us used, and already had a Boom Racing gyro and stealth body mounts.
This vehicle is very popular, as it is still the BEST choice for folks who are looking to get into RWD RC drift. It handles well and is one of the few RTR RWD drift cars that are available.
Check it out in more detail here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&toolid=11800&pub=5575476760&campid=5338469288&mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FMST-RMX-2-0-1-10-2WD-Brushless-RTR-Drift-Car-BMW-E92-Body-Blue-MST533176B%2F274610065618%3Fhash%3Ditem3ff00910d2%3Ag%3ApL4AAOSwrDxf1C~J
With all of that being said though, it is not perfect.
The stock MST gyro really is lacking in total control and feel - that is why this one already had a Boom Racing gyro on it.
Still - the BEST upgrade I have found for this vehicle is getting a good quality gyro and controller.
My go-to gyro is this Futaba GYD450. https://amzn.to/2WDgv8W
This gyro provides a smoother drift and better feel than anything else I have ever driven or used. Futaba has even come out with an even better and fancier gyro, the GYD550, but I have not used one yet. https://amzn.to/34EVUFU
This gyro alone will really help unlock the potential of this MST RMX2.0S, as it is a huge upgrade. However, it really does get better when you pair it with one of their controller also.
I chose this Futaba 4PL / 4PLS because I could get it cheap on eBay. I believe I got it for less than $100. The key with this, as I show in the video, is getting a controller that will allow you to control the 3rd channel in both a positive and negative setting. This allows you to trigger the AVCS mode, which is a "slow-return" for the steering. The AVCS mode really helps smooth out the drifting motion.
If you can't find a 4PL / 4PLS, then here is the newer version, the 4PLM: https://amzn.to/2KVJani
Please let me know if this is helpful, and if you have any questions!
*Note: The provided links to the items recommended in this may be associate links. The great news about this: you pay the same price for the item, but I get a small kickback that helps me fund this channel!
