A demo of the Airstar JetCopter, with a series of rolls, loops and autorotations. Powered by a JetCat PHT-3 on HP5 mechanics, producing about 6 HP, weighing 22 pounds while carrying 2 liters of fuel, resulting in an endurance of 10 minutes with reserve. The engine runs on Jet-A or K1 Kerosene with pre-mixed turbine engine oil. The engine runs at 103000 rpm, reduced to 1400 rotor RPM. The radio system is a Futaba FASST, utlizing only seven channels, four 9550 servos for the swash (4 point CCPM) and a GY601 gyro with a 9251 tail rotor servo. The main blades are MAH 810s which perform well for both aerobatics and autorotations. The tail blades are custom built 130 mm slow/thick airfoil fiberglass blades. Two lithium ion batteries are enclosed in the canopy, one runs the engine's electronic control unit (ECU), fuel pump and fuel valves, the other runs the radio gear operating the flight controls. This is not a beginner's helicopter and requires previous experience and proficiency to operate it safely. For further information, visit www.airstarintl.com
