B Mains are some of the most stressful races I've ever ran. The pressure of making the main is much worse than the pressure to perform once you're in the main to me at least! One of my favorite events I attended was the final day of a 3 day race when I started dead last in the E main, 47th.. and made it all the way to second place! It was a blur but the pressure in the C and B mains and trying to hurry through the field in the A mains was super fun!
